While on a trip to Huntsville, Elizabeth and I had a chance to go kayaking with Bert and Christina. It was a 6 mile journey down stream. I saw a cow in the river; being a Prairie boy, I didn't think that cows took baths... I was wrong. Unfortunately before I could get my camera out of it's waterproof bag the cow was leaving (see the picture below). It was about two hours in the water and worth every minute. I was a little sore the next day though :)

I was surfing and googled Bert Carson’s name, and found your website. Very cool. love the pictures. I met Bert and Christina many years ago. I was once married to a Vietnam vet, wrote a book about it, and met Bert through our common interest, and also met vets and wives from his support group, Southern Command, in Ft. Payne, Ala.
I’ve lost touch with them, and was looking for a way to reconnect. He and Christina were so wonderful to me. I’ll never forget them. I notice the pics are from 2002. Are you still in touch with them?
I’d love to hear fromn you on this. Thanks for your site. I didn’t know they had started a church. How wonderful!
